He shoot for us remotely and, because of COVID restrictions, we weren't able to send out a director to accompany him. We were initially nervous that remote camera teams might not be able to build story-driven sequences without an editorial staff member present, but Richard completely understood exactly what elements were necessary for us to construct our narrative. In the space of a month, he captured everything we needed for a full 50-minute doc. As well as the entirety of our main camera coverage, Richard also filmed stunning aerials and time-lapses. He was an excellent communicator throughout pre-production and during filming - offering valuable advice and insights when we needed them, but never forcing his suggestions upon us.
